The much-awaited Xiaomi Mi4 is reportedly making its debut in India next month.
Xiaomi India head, Manu Jain in a chat with The Indian Express has said the Xiaomi Mi4 would be released for an approximate price of ₹20,000 in January 2015.
He also added that Xiaomi is upbeat about the company's prospects in Indian consumer electronics and has planned to release budget smart Mi fitness band around March for $15 (around ₹950) and Mi smart TV-2 for ₹40,000 in the second half of 2015.

The company's confidence stems from the fact that it has sold more than 1 million handsets in India in just five months, despite facing roadblocks (to name a few- IAF warning on data privacy & the partial Delhi high court phone sales ban),

This feat is remarkable, considering the company sold the handsets through single online channel (Flipkart).
In 2015, Xiaomi has plans to set up its own e-shop website similar to the company's Chinese model and has also set a target of launching 100 exclusive physical stores (with experience zone) across India.
As of now, Xiaomi has set up an R&D centre with two new recruits in Bengaluru and has set in motion a process to develop India specific devices.
