Popular Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi, is reportedly planning to launch a brand new device next week.
Xiaomi (via official fan forum page) has confirmed that the company plans to announce the 2015 flagship device on 15 January at the National Conference Center, Beijing. It has also released a poster showing a hand with a shadowy image of the device in the back-ground. The cryptic image hints it might be either a smartphone or a tablet.
As a promotional activity, Xiaomi has invited fans to guess answers to three questions
- What is the new product?
- What does it look like?
- What is as thin as a cicada's wings?
Few lucky winners are said to get exclusive Xiaomi goodies on the launch day.
According to latest poll results on the forum, many have opined that the company might name the new phone as either Xiaomi Mi5 or Mi4 S. [More information on the contest, HERE]
