1) Google Nexus 7 (2013)
The 7-inch tablet display along with a screen resolution of 1920x1200 pixels gives a competition in terms of battery life with a battery of 3950 mAh.
With a slim body design, the latest tablet packs a serious punch of technical specifications as the device will be powered by quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and carry a 2GB RAM. The VGA camera is of 1.2-megapixel for video calling while the primary camera is of 5-megapixel.
Along with WiFi connectivity, there will be an optional 4G- LTE connection. The tablet will be available in two variants of 16GB which costs about $229 and 32GB priced around $269. Google has recently also introduced a 32GB LTE variant which costs $349.
2) Sony Xperia Tablet Z
Just like its competitor Nexus 7, Xperia Z carries a 1.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor. It carries a 13-megapixel primary camera with a VGA camera of 2.2-megapixels for video calling. Along with a display of 5-inch, the tablet carries a 2GB RAM and an internal storage capacity of 16GB which is expandable.
The Japanese company had introduced water and dust resistant quality for all the Xperia products and Sony Xperia Z is one of them.
3) Google Nexus 10
The tablet is powered by a 1.7GHz dual-core processor with a 2GB RAM. It sports Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which was recently updated to 4.2.2.
The tablet boasts a primary camera of 5-megapixel plus VGA camera of 1.9-megapixel. There are two variants of the tablet, the one with 32GB storage capacity costs $499 and the one with 16GB costs $399.The battery life of the tablet is considered to be better than the rest, as it carries a 9,000mAh battery.
4) Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0
However, the OS has not been updated as it still carries Android 4.1 Jelly Bean along with a 2GB RAM. The internal storage capacity of the gadget is of 16GB.
The South Korean company has given Galaxy Note 8.0 a 5-megapixel primary camera along with a VGA of 1.4-megapixel for video calling.
The tablet will cost around $359.
5) Asus Transformer Pad Infinity
It comes with an 8-megapixel primary camera plus a 2-megapixel VGA camera for video calling. The tablet runs on old Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The tablet will cost about $350 on Amazon in a Grey color.
6) Asus FonePad
Asus FonePad carries a display of 7 inches with a sleek metallic finish in terms of design. It sports the newly launched Intel's Atom CPU with a 1.6 GHz processor.
The device has a 3.12-megapixel camera with a 1.2-megapixel VGA and a 1GB RAM. The device comes in 16GB and 32GB variants. The internal storage capacity can be expanded up to 32GB with the help of MicroSD card slot.
The tablet will cost around $275.
7) Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1: Popular Samsung tablet comes with a display of 10.1 and a screen resolution of 1280X800 pixels.
Even though the device comes in just one variant of 16GB, its memory can be expanded as the tablet has a MicroSD card slot.
Galaxy Tab 2 has a battery of 7,000mAh and will be powered by a 1.0GHz dual-core processor but the tablet loses its charm when it comes to the camera as it carries a 3.1-megapixel camera boosted by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
This tablet will cost the customers just $300.
8) Amazon Kindle Fire HD: With a price tag of just $139, Amazon Kindle Fire HD is a budget tablet and offers a lot more to the users.
The device sports a 7-inch display with a screen resolution of 1280X800 pixels and powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz.
Amazon has its own version of Android called Mojito and Amazon Kindle Fire HD carries the same.
9) Nook HD+: This tablet can also be included in the budgetary line as the 16GB variant costs about $149 and the 32GB variant costs $179.
The Barnes and Noble tablet has a 9-inch display with a screen resolution of 1920X1280 pixels.
The tablet will be powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, but the tablet does not carry a camera.
10) Archos 80 Titanium: The design of Archos 80 Titanium is well done and this tablet is priced at $329. With an 8-inch display, the tablet comes in two variants of 8GB and 16GB. The internal storage of the device can be expanded up to 32GB.
The tablet carries Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and sports 2-megapixel primary camera.
