Amazon has now revealed a new line of Kindle Fire tablets - Kindle Fire HD, Kindle Fire HDX 7 and Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 with all new software features.
These new tablets are now available for pre-orders and the Kindle Fire HDX 7 will be shipped on Oct. 18 for a cost of $229. The 4G variant of the tablet, which features 16GB of internal storage capacity will set back customers by $329 and will be shipped on Nov. 14, reported Cnet.
The Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 will be start at a price of $379 and is scheduled to be shipped on Nov. 7. There is also a 4G variant which will cost around $479 and is scheduled to be shipped on the Dec.10. Both the variants will have an internal storage capacity if 16GB just like Kindle Fire HDX 7.
The Kindle Fire HD 7 will now come with a new design and is speculated to cost around $139 with a 16GB internal storage capacity. However, the release date has not yet been confirmed.
Kindle Fire HD
At a price of just $139, the Kindle Fire HD offers a lot more to the users. This budget friendly tablet sports a 7 inch display with a screen resolution of 1280X800 pixels. It will be powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, which is faster than what the 2012's model of Kindle Fire carried. The tablet will run on Amazon's own version of Android, which is now named as Fire operating system also known as 'Mojito'.
The users of Kindle Fire HD will also enjoy the native application compatibility for applications originally built for Android. In addition to this, the customers will also get 500 Amazon coins which are equal to $5 to purchase applications and games for their new tablet.
Kindle Fire HDX
The newly introduced Kindle Fire HDX tablets are designed for those who wish to have a good screen resolution with a lighter and thinner body, reported ABC News.
Amazon had declared that both of these tablets will have three times the performance power than 2012 tablets and these tablets will be powered by 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor along with a 2GB RAM.
The 7 inch variant will have a screen resolution of 1920X1200 pixels and the 8.9 inch variant will have a much higher resolution of 2560X1600 pixels. The users will be able to read the material on their tablets even when they are out in the sunlight with reduced glare.
With sharper screen, the tablets will also introduce the Mayday button, which will provide the users with fast access to round-the-clock tech support.
The Mayday button is a new feature added to the Kindle Fire HDX tablets. It will help the users to get a live tech -support representative within the time period of 15 seconds. This will take over the tablet and find out issues in the device.
With the new feature like Mayday, the tech giant has also improved the services of Amazon Prime Video which will now be downloaded as well be streamed even when the device is offline.
The two new HDX tablets will also feature a front-facing camera but disappoints users with the HDX 8.9 version that will have a rear-facing camera of 8 megapixels along with a LED Flash.
Both the tablets will be available with Verizon and AT&T mobile network services.
In addition to all the above features, Amazon will also have a Second Screen feature that will allow the users to view movies or TV shows through their tablets on their computers and TVs. Samsung TVs and Sony's PlayStation will have Second Screen support soon.
