Bengaluru-based smartphone maker Karbonn has launched its first Microsoft Windows OS powered handset, Titanium Wind W4 in India.
The new Karbonn Titanium Wind W4 sports a 4.0-inch WVGA (800x480p) LCD screen and ships with Windows Phone v8.1 OS out-of-the-box.
Under the hood, it packs a 1.2GHz snapdragon quad-core processor, 512MB RAM, 5.0-megapixel camera with LED flash, auto-focus and a 0.3-megapixel VGA front snapper and 1,500 mAh battery.
Competition:
The new Karbonn phone is a well-endowed device for its sub-₹6,000 price tag. Such budget devices are specifically targeted to first-time smartphone users, who are planning to migrate from feature-phones and certainly Titanium Wind W4 will not disappoint them.
With the release of Titanium Wind W4, Karbonn has become third domestic player to join the Windows Platform-based phone club of Micromax and Xolo, who have already released Canvas Win W121, Win W092 and Win Q900s respectively.
Apart from local brands, the new Karbonn smartphone will be up against Nokia Lumia 530 and also recently launched pocket-friendly Google Android devices (Micromax Canvas A1, Karbonn Sparkle V and Spice Dream UNO), Xiaomi Redmi 1S and Motorola Moto E.
As of now, Karbonn Titanium Wind W4 is currently available at Amazon India for ₹5,999.
