The Hindi version of Kamal Haasan's Tamil film "Vishwaroopam" has been doing well at domestic box offices on weekdays.
After earning a whopping ₹7.65 crore in the first weekend in north India, "Vishwaroop" raked in ₹2.3 crore on the following weekdays. The five-day total of the spy thriller stands at ₹9.96 crore.
The five-day breakup of the film is: Friday ₹1.89 crore, Saturday ₹2.47 crore, Sunday ₹3.29 crore, Monday ₹1.19 crore and Tuesday ₹1.11 crore, according to trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh.
The collection of the film on weekdays declined by nearly 60 percent in India.
However, among the six new releases including "David", "Midnight's Children", "Mai", "Deewana Main Deewana" and "Listen...Amaya", only Kamal's film raked in some money.
The domestic release of the spy thriller was delayed due to the legal controversies over its content. In the international market, the film was released on the scheduled date.
In India, the Hindi version was released in north side on Feb 1 and the Tamil version is set to release on Thursday.
The trilingual film, which is directed and co-produced by Kamal Haasan who also has a lead role in it, features Pooja Kumar, Rahul Bose, Andrea Jeremiah and Jaideep Ahlawat in supporting roles.
