Government holds tripartite talks with United Naga Council in Manipur

Manipur, Feb 21 (ANI): The 7th round of tripartite talks between the United Naga Council, Central Government and Manipur Government over the demand for an alternative arrangement for the Nagas of Manipur was held recently at Senapati district headquarters. The Centre's team was headed by joint secretary (Northeast) Shambhu Singh while UNC's 10-member delegation was led by its President L Adani. The State Government delegation included Rural Development Minister Francis Ngajokpa and Principal Secretary (Home) Dr Suresh Babu. The United Naga Council is the apex body of the Nagas in Manipur and has been demanding an alternative arrangement beyond the control of the Manipur government for the Nagas in the state.
