New Delhi, Oct 04 (ANI): Communist Party of India ( CPI) leader Gurudas Dasgupta on Friday said that President Pranab Mukherjee could have cautioned the government rather than attempting to get public support and appreciation over his remark that 'state-sponsored terrorism (from or by Pakistan) cannot be accepted'. Dasgupta said if President Mukherjee has something to say as strong as it is and if he believes that the government is not doing its job properly and is found to be soft on Pakistan then that is surely not the way to take the corrective measures. New Delhi, Oct 04 (ANI): A new study has revealed that people tend to relate with sweetness and angular shapes with bitterness. According to sensory scientist Charles Spence, people make consistent matches between shape properties, and the generalization that has now been documented across a range of food and beverage products, is that sweet is round while bitter is angular. For the study, participants were asked to taste chocolate samples with varying cocoa content and mark the scale according to how they think it reflects the taste. Spence and his team found that Lindt extra creamy milk chocolate, which contains 30 percent cocoa, and Cadbury Koko milk chocolate truffles were both more strongly linked with rounded shapes. It happens: India's Longest Cake

Chennai, Oct 4(ANI): Bakers and cake lovers provided a visual treat to onlookers by displaying a 100 metre long cake which weighed 1000 kilograms focusing on India's southern Chennai city, as the images on the cake were based on the theme 'Namma Chennai, Namma Pride' (Our Chennai our Pride). The cake was created by The French Loaf, the bakery wing of Oriental Cuisines Private Limited (OCPL), as part of the 'Joy of Giving Week.' A group of 26 chefs took exactly 285 hours to make the cake and in total, there were 100 people involved in the baking and assembling of the masterpiece., Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Teresa. The cake had images of the Ripon building, the Labour Statue, Tidal Park and many other prominent locations in Chennai city. There were also sketches of a sun between the mountains, a huge dolphin and India's father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi, with his spinning wheel, among many others. The cake, which looked delicious, was made of 600 kilograms of chocolate mixes, 300 kilograms of dark chocolate, 100 kilograms of white chocolate, 1,000 kilograms of icing sheets and 50 kilograms of fruit gels. Kashmir, Oct 4 (ANI): Photography enthusiasts thronged a 10- day long photo exhibition on Wednesday capturing the rich historical and cultural heritage of India's Kashmir. Visitors were mesmerized by the rare pictures of the rich culture of the valley, the lives of the royal family , ancient palaces and forts which for long have been the part of Kashmir's history but have been overlooked due to ignorance. The black and white pictures were a visual treat for the photography enthusiasts who said that it was very important that the present generation see these pictures and learn about their rich past. The organisers named the exhibition "Nostalgic Kashmir" and said that the pictures on display were just 30 per cent of the complete collection collected over the years. People from all walks of life thronged the venue to see and admire the rare photographs. Security has been beefed up in the city, as roughly one million people enthusiastically participated in the procession every year. People thronged the venue, which was decorated with sparkling lights and colourful buntings. Devotees were seen praying before the children dressed in mythological charters of Ramayana, carrying offerings and earthen-lit lamps that created a peaceful ambiance. People in large numbers came to seek Lord Rama's blessings. In a rare gesture, King Philippe of Belgium received Mukherjee at the airport on Wednesday, when he began his first leg of the tour from Belgium.
