Shinde faces flak for attending Rajjo's music launch on day of Patna blasts

New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): The opposition on Monday lashed out at Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde for enjoying the music launch of upcoming film ‘Rajjo’ in Mumbai on the day when Patna was rocked by serial blasts. The opposition used the occasion to target the ruling Congress Party, saying all their leaders are busy in such things rather than devoting their time on issues of national interest. Shinde attended the function hours after serial blasts rocked Bihar's Patna city ahead of BJP's prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's 'Hunkar rally'.

Oommen Chandy hurt as LDF protesters started stone pelting

Kannur, Oct 28 (ANI): Kerala chief minister Oommen Chandy was injured after protesters pelted stones at his car in Kannur town. Chandy sustained minor injuries on his forehead and his car’s windowpanes were broken when an ongoing campaign by CPI (M)-led LDF over the solar panel scam turned violent on Sunday evening. According to local media, provincial main opposition CPI (M) could be behind the protest. The incident happened when Chandy was on his way to attend the 43rd Kerala Police Annual Athletic Meet and also a public meeting organized by the Congress party.

Patna, Oct 28 (ANI): After a total of 4 suspects were caught in Patna blast case which killed at least five persons and left over 90 injured, BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain visited the victims at the hospital and blamed the government for under preparedness at the rally venue. Bangladesh BNP starts three-day strike, at least five people killed

Dhaka, Oct 28 (ANI): Bangladesh opposition party Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), began its three-day strike in the country that left at least five people dead and many others injured and also lead to destruction of property across Bangladesh. The BNP commenced the strike on Sunday, demanding a caretaker government during the upcoming national elections in 2014.
