Patna, Dec 13 (ANI): RJD chief Lalu Prasad's wife and former Bihar chief minister Rabri Devi welcomed the Supreme Court's decision to grant bail to her husband saying she had full faith in judiciary. The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav in the fodder scam case, in which he was convicted and sentenced to five years in jail. After the Patna High Court dismissed the former Bihar CM's plea, he moved the top court seeking bail till his appeal against conviction by a special CBI court was decided by the HC. The order was passed by a two-judge bench of the Supreme Court.

AAP should form govt in Delhi: Politicos

Nation remembers martyrs of 2001 Parliament attack

New Delhi, Dec 13 (ANI): Cutting across party lines, political leaders on Friday paid homage to those who had lost their lives in the 2001 Parliament House terrorist attack. Vice President M. Hamid Ansari, Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley and several other leaders offered floral tributes to the martyrs at a solemn ceremony in New Delhi. It was on this day in 2001, heavily armed-terrorists infiltrated the Parliament House and began firing their weapons during the time of Parliament session. Eleven persons including five policemen were killed during the attack.

Bangladesh hails death penalty against Jamaat leader

Dhaka, Dec 13 (ANI): Bangladesh activists rallied in Dhaka to hail the country’s apex court verdict of hanging to death an Islamist war criminal. Abdul Quader Mollah, found guilty of war crimes committed during the 1971 liberation war, was due to be hanged at Dhaka Central Jail on Tuesday, but his lawyers earned a last-minute reprieve. After two days of legal argument following the reprieve, the Supreme Court finally rejected his application for a review of the death penalty.
