2G scam: AAP comes out with fresh charges against Karunanidhi, Kanimozhi

New Delhi, Feb 4 (ANI): AAP Leader Prashant Bhushan in a press conference on Tuesday said that they are in possession of a series of recorded telephonic conversations that implicate DMK leader Kanimozhi further in the 2G scam. The AAP leader alleged that a huge cover-up was engineered in the telecom scam to protect Kanimozhi and the owner of Kalaignar TV and DMK chief M Karunanidhi was aware of the plan. Bhushan claimed that leaked audio tapes prove Kanimozhi accepted Rs.200 crore from a telecom firm which was allotted a mobile network license by then Union Telecom Minister A Raja in 2008. He said that he would upload tapes containing conversations between Kanimozhi, Karunanidhi's PA and Jafer Sait, an IPS officer close to the family.

Have asked Ugandan High Commission to provide counselor service to three women: MEA

New Delhi, Feb 4 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin on Tuesday said the ministry has written to the Ugandan High Commission regarding a complaint filed by three Ugandan women with the police indicating that they were allegedly brought to India under false pretenses. Akbaruddin further said they have suggested to the Ugandan High Commission to provide counselor services to the three Ugandan nationals as early as possible. Earlier on Monday, three Uganda n women had filed a complaint with help from the Delhi Government and sought intervention from the External Affairs Ministry seeking protection for them.

Bangkok/ Jakarta, Feb 04 (ANI): Industrial growth largely depends on efficient supply and distribution of goods and material. In Thailand, at an industrial park near Bangkok city, there are many companies, including some 500 from Japan. But, they did not have many choices for transportation and delivery of goods. Sagawa Express Thai Container Distribution Service started Less Than Truckload (LTL) courier service in January 2014. It trucks goods from customers and delivers them within a 100km radius of Bangkok. One of Sagawa Express’ logistic bases is located about 10km from Suvarnabhumi International Airport.

Shiv Sena workers protest against Pak Band in Mumbai Press Club

Mumbai, Feb 04 (ANI): Nearly 50-70 Shiv Sena workers on Tuesday barged inside the Mumbai Press Club where a Pakistani band Mekaal Haasan was holding a press conference and demanded that the Sufi band be sent back to their nation. The protesters were holding placards and saffron flags and were shouting slogans ‘No Pakistani individual or group will be allowed in Mumbai’. The police was immediately called in. The protesters have now been taken to the Azad Maidan police station and a case of unauthorized entry has been filed.
