To keep the environment safe, Otsuka Pharmaceutical focuses on reducing the weight of containers, especially the 500ml PET bottles, which are widely consumed in Japan. Rajiv Gandhi Assassination case: TN govt to release all 7 convicts

Chennai, Feb 19 (ANI): The Tamil Nadu Government has decided to release all seven convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case, including AG Perarivalan and Nalini. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Wednesday told the state assembly that the government has decided to release all the convicts in the case. The move by the state government comes a day after the Supreme Court commuted the death sentence of the three of the convicts, Santhan, Murugan and Perarivalan to life term on the ground of delay in deciding their mercy plea by the Centre. CPI vows to support Telangana bill in Rajya Sabha

Andhra Pradesh CM N Kiran Kumar Reddy resigns, quits Congress

Andhra Pradesh, Feb 19 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, who is upset over the Telangana bill being passed by the Lok Sabha, resigned on Wednesday. Reddy has announced his resignation and said that he can't continue. Reddy resigned from the post of CM, MLA and membership of the Congress party. The former chief minister also attacked the entire Congress high command including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh wore a deserted look on Wednesday after regional, YSR Congress Party called for a shutdown in the state protesting against the contentious proposal of bifurcating the state and carving new state of Telangana, which was passed in lower house of the parliament.
