Meanwhile, lakhs of pilgrims have paid obeisance to the ice-lingam.The saffron-robed mace was taken from its 'Dashnami Akhara' abode at Budshah Chowk here to Pahalgam by a group of priests and pilgrims led by its custodian Mahant Deependra Giri. He was on his way back home after returning from the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. On August 3, Scotland Police had arrested Mehta for driving in a drunken state while wrestling referee Virender Malik was booked for sexual assault but the charges were later dropped against them.
