We've been hearing the impending launch of Galaxy K (aka S5 Zoom) for quite a while, now Samsung has confirmed the unveiling date of the camera-centric smartphone.
Samsung Mobile officially disclosed the news via Twitter; the company has scheduled to hold an event 'Samsung Media Day' on 29 April at Red Dot Design Museum, Singapore.

Though the company refrains from confirming that the upcoming device is Galaxy K, the tagline of the twitter message - 'KAPTURE THE MOMENT', indirectly implies the smartphone is certain to be the camera based handset.
Galaxy K (SM-C115) is said to sport a 4.8-inch HD (720x1280p) screen and ship with Android v4.4.2 KitKat OS with TouchWiz UI, Samsung's proprietary Exynos 5 series (5260) Hexa-core processor (1.7GHz Cortex-A15 dual cores and 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 quad-cores), Mali-T624 (quad-core) GPU, 2GB RAM and expandable memory (via microSD card), according to previous reports.
The upcoming phone will house a feature-rich 20.2 megapixel main camera boasting OIS (Optical Image Stabilization), Xenon Flash, 10x optical zoom, and a 2.1-Megapixel (1920×1080) snapper on the front.
Besides Galaxy K (aka S5 Zoom), Samsung is also speculated to announce two more Galaxy S5 variants Galaxy S5 Mini, a compact model featuring 4.5-inch display and Galaxy S5 Neo, a budget model for price-conscious consumer later this year.
