Bidding for PM Modi's suit reaches 14.1 million

Surat/ New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): The bidding for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's controversial suit that bears his name in gold pinstripes and which he wore at a meeting with Barack Obama touched a new high on Thursday. Komal Kant Sharma, CMD, Leela Group of Companies, a chain of luxury hotels, in Bhavnagar, bid rupees 14.1 million (1.41 crore) for the suit. The tailored suit is being auctioned in Gujarat to raise money for a project he is championing to clean the Ganges river. The auction ends on Friday. Director of Leela Group of Companies, Bhavnagar, Chirag Mehta, said Sharma would be present at the auction on Friday. Feb 19, 2015

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday announced that Kailash Mansarovar Yatra via Nathula pass will start from 18th June. She said that the route is totally motorable and was not developed till 2014. Swaraj while introducing the route and the website on the same said that initiative on the same was taken up when Prime Minister Narendra Modi took up the issue with Chinese Premier Xi Jinping on the later's state visit. Swaraj also said that the earlier route will be functional as before and the new route will carry less people on its first operation. A phone helpline is also put in place to facilitate the pilgrims. Soya Masala Dry Ingredients Soya chunks - 1 cup Cumin powder - 1 tsp Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp Ginger & garlic paste - 1 tsp A few Curry leaves Onion - 1 finely chopped Tomato - 1 chopped Red Chilli powder - 1 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder - 1 tsp Salt to taste Water Oil - 2 tbsp To Grind Grated Coconut - 1 1/2 tbsp Green chilli - 1 Pepper - 1/2 tsp Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp A few cloves of Garlic Method: 1. Soak soya chunks in hot water for 30 minutes. Squeeze out the excess water and keep it aside. 2. In a wide pan, add oil, cumin powder, cumin seeds, ginger - garlic paste, curry leaves, onion and sauté it for a few minutes. 3. Once the onions turn golden brown add tomato, red chilli powder, garam masala powder, salt and sauté it for a few minutes. 4. Once tomato turns mushy, add soya chunks and mix it well. 5. Grind the grated coconut, garlic, pepper, fennel seeds and green chilli into a coarse mixture. 6. Add the ground mixture to the soya masala and keep stirring till all the excess moisture has been absorbed. 7. Add very little water, cook for 2-3 minutes and blend the masala well. 8. Soya Masala Dry is ready. BJP hopes to iron out differences with PDP on AFSPA

New Delhi/ Jammu, Feb 19 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party said on Thursday that proper discussions are important before reaching a conclusion on the revocation of Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in Jammu and Kashmir. Many civil rights activist and political parties like Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and National Conference (NC) have long been demanding to revoke AFSPA. However, the army has opposed their demands saying they are not even in favour of "partially withdrawing" the rule as it is essential to root out militants. PDP wants AFSPA removed while BJP is strongly against Article 370, which accords special status to Jammu and Kashmir. This could make the tie-up between the two parties uneasy. However, BJP is hopeful of resolving all differences and moving ahead on a positive note.
