A video shows the arrest of a man charged with killing two people on a train in Portland. Jeremy Joseph Christian stabbed three people on a MAX transit train on May 26. Two of the victims died and one sustained not life-threatening injuries. They had intervened when Christian verbally abused two Muslim women. More than 140 people have been killed in floods in Sri Lanka. Caused by the worst torrential rains since 2003, half a million people have been affected by the floods. Many had to flee to evacuation centres or shelter on higher ground. Aid had to be delivered by helicopter to cut-off areas. A cow showed little appreciation for its rescuers after being pulled out of a drainage hole by firefighters in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Eventually, the men from the St. Lucie County Fire District managed to pull the animal to safety and it promptly charged at the nearest firefighter.
