New Delhi, Dec 30 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) activists rejoiced after the court accepted the acquittal of party president Amit Shah in connection with the 2005 Sohrabuddin Sheikh encounter case. The BJP President reached his party office in Delhi few hours after the court's decision. In a major relief to BJP president Amit Shah, a special CBI court in Mumbai earlier in the day acquitted him in the 2005 Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case. The CBI had charged Shah, the then Minister of State for Home in Gujarat, as an accused in the killing of gangster Sohrabuddin Sheikh and Tulsiram Prajapati. Dec 30, 2014

New Delhi, Dec 30 (ANI): Shah Rukh Khan's production company Red Chillies Entertainment (RCE) has recently declared that their film, 'Happy New Year' will now be released in Egypt on 31st December, 2014. RCE authorities informed that 'Happy New Year' (HNY) will initially get released in 10 theaters in Cairo, Alexandria and Obour City including all major theatres and multiplexes, and will have English and Arabic subtitles. United Motion Pictures has been given all the rights of distribution in Egypt, and with this ' Happy New Year' is the second film of Red Chillies Entertainments Pvt. Indian and Bangladeshi security forces play a friendly soccer match to improve relations

Belonia, Dec 30 (ANI): It was a match with a difference as border forces of India and Bangladesh competed in a friendly soccer match in a bid to improve their relations. The match was played between the 89th battalion of India's paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) and 4th battalion of Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB) in Tripura. In the end, the Indian border forces prevailed over their Bangladeshi counterparts. The lone goal was scored in the second half of the match. BGB Commandant, Zilul Haque, hoped such tournaments had the potential to improve relations. Deputy Inspector General of BSF BS Tolia said the relations between the two forces were on the mend. Indonesia, Dec 30 (ANI): Search teams scouring the area for signs of the missing AirAsia jet spotted dead bodies apart from debris floating off Indonesia's Kalimantan Coast. The Search and Rescue agency Chief said the debris was likely to be from the AirAsia jet, which disappeared on Sunday with 162 people on board. Nearby ships are heading to the area, where the objects were found. The debris needs to be analyzed before a 100 per cent confirmation can be made. Shimla, Dec 30 (ANI): The mysterious death of hundreds of chickens triggered bird flu panic in hill town of Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. Nearly 323 chickens were found dead by the police during a routine checking from a truck that was heading towards Kinnaur district of the state. It was later reported to the animal husbandry department. As a precautionary measure, the department destroyed the remaining lot of the broilers. Mumbai, Dec 30 (ANI): A special CBI court on Tuesday gave clean chit to BJP president Amit Shah in the Sohrabuddin fake encounter case. Shah had sought a discharge in the case saying he was being targeted by his political rivals. Sohrabuddin Sheikh and his wife Kauser Bi were allegedly kidnapped by Gujarat's anti-terrorism Squad in November 2005 and killed in a fake encounter. Following this, Sohrabuddin's brother, Rubabuddin, had filed a complaint that his brother was killed in a fake encounter. Indonesia, Dec 30 (ANI): Possible debris of AirAsia Flight 8501 was spotted floating in the Java Sea on Tuesday, Indonesia official confirmed in a press conference. MetroTV showed two relatively large objects, one orange and one grey or brown, floating on the surface. The largest appeared to be several metres in length. But it has not yet been confirmed that they belong to the missing plane. An Airbus A320-200 carrying 162 people and operated by Indonesia AirAsia disappeared in poor weather on Sunday (December 28) morning during a flight from the Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore. The search area was expanded on Tuesday morning as countries around Asia stepped up the search for the plane. Around 30 ships and 21 aircraft from Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore and South Korea would search around 10,000 square nautical miles on Tuesday, officials said. Kedarnath, Dec 30 (ANI): Work is in full swing in temple town of Kedarnath, the epicentre of the worst flooding across Uttarakhand last year, which killed at least 6,000 people. The state authorities have approved a reconstruction and rehabilitation plan for Kedarnath, one of the holiest shrines of the Hindus. It is banking on the recommendations of the Geological Survey of India for planning reconstruction and rehabilitation work at Kedarnath. The institute is also building a helipad of 150 metres by 50 metres, the biggest in the town, to enable Indian Air Force's Mi-26 choppers to carry construction materials and equipments at the sites. But the weather plays truant with construction work gets hampered by the dipping temperatures.
