Tollywood actress Shweta Basu Pasad, who was arrested last week for being involved in a prostitution racket, is most likely to reveal the names of her clients, who were said to be high profile businessmen from various parts of the country.
On 31 August, Prasad, along with her pimp and clients were caught by the police in a plush hotel in Hyderabad. While the cops revealed all information regarding Prasad's involvement in the sex trade, they chose to remain tight-lipped about the identity of her rich clients.
Now, it seems like Prasad is ready to identify her clients, who are supposedly influential business tycoons, reported Zee News.
The clients have reportedly paid ₹1 lakh to a pimp to spend a night with the 23-year-old actress.
The actress later admitted to the police that she took up prostitution because she was running out of money as there weren't any film offers. Read more HERE and HERE
The actress is currently lodged in a state-run rescue home, where she will be apparently staying for the next three months. Prasad, however, added that several other struggling actresses in the industry also turn to sex trade for financial security.
The talented actress rose to fame after she made her debut as a child artist in the popular TV serial "Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki". She even acted in Bollywood films like "Iqbal"(2005), "Makdee" (2002) among others. She bagged the National Award for best child artist for her performance in "Makdee".
Later, she was also seen as a lead actress in a few low budget South Indian films.
Incidentally, this is not the first time her name has surfaced in association with the rough trade. Prasad was earlier exposed in a sting operation carried out by a Telugu channel, where she was seen demanding money in return for sexual favours.
