BSF seizes contraband drugs worth Rs 85 cr

Amritsar, Sep 15 (ANI): Alert personnel of Border Security Force (BSF) in Punjab seized 17 kilograms of contraband heroin, worth rupees 85 crores in the international market. BSF has been working on several improvised operational guidelines to trim down the frequent narcotics smuggling from across the border. Addressing the mediapersons in Amritsar district, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of BSF, Ravi Joseph said that the patrolling team of force had laid an ambush and early in the morning they observed movement of two to three smugglers near security fence along the border fencing.
