Bangladesh book fair in Kolkata aims to boost bilateral relations

Kolkata, Sep 29 (ANI): Bangladesh book fair organised in Kolkata drew bibliophiles, as it aimed to boost trade and strengthen bilateral relations between the two neighbouring nations. West Bengal, Education Minister Bratya Basu inaugurated the fair. Around 32 publishers are participating in the fair, which would conclude on October 02. Basu said that such fairs would enhance not only trade but socio-political relations between India and Bangladesh. The Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Kolkata, Abida Islam, said that if the demand for Bangladeshi books increase in India then the export of books would rise, which would provide a boost to trade.
