Chinese smartphone maker OPPO Electronics Corp. has launched a new budget handset in India dubbed Joy Plus.
"Our aim at OPPO India is to provide our customers with ground-breaking technology at affordable prices. The Smartphone market in India is constantly evolving and we intend to reach across sections through our budget Smartphone, Joy Plus," said Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO Mobile India.
"We are looking at aggressive market penetration this year and we are confident that Joy Plus, packed with latest features will provide our customers more personal and reliable mobile experience," he added.
As the name suggests, Joy Plus is the successor to the 2014 model Oppo Joy. It boasts of frost-matte gold frame on the device, giving it a smooth and stylish finish. On the rear-side, it is laced with pearlescent luster cover, conveying an exquisite look.
Oppo Joy Plus sports 4.0-inch WVGA IPS TFT screen and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS with custom ColorOS UI. Under-the-hood, it houses 1.3GHz Mediatek quad-core CPU, Mali-400 MP1 graphics engine, 1GB RAM and 4GB inbuilt memory.

The company has confirmed the new Oppo Joy Plus will be released across India in few days, for ₹6,990.
Competition:
Once released, Oppo Joy Plus will be up against Xiaomi Redmi 2, Motorola Moto E (2 Gen), Lenovo A6000, Sony Xperia E4g, and soon-to-be-launched Micromax Canvas Spark.
