The second round of OnePlus One sale is all set to kick off on Monday, 17 November.
The company has confirmed that the pre-order service will go live on Monday late afternoon at 4pm GMT (8am PST; 11am EST; 9:30pm IST). Only discontent among the fans is the one hour window; many wonder if this limited time will be enough for thousands who log-in to the page at the same time and cause server to crash, which happened in the last month.
On 27 October, the pre-order service was marred by disruptions. It was learnt that the website couldn't handle the unprecedented traffic leading to server crash, which left many users frustrated, not being able to complete the pre-order transaction.
Later the service was reportedly extended for couple more hours, so that consumers' whose transactions got cut-off in midway get completed.
In that order, the company has promised that server infrastructure has been scaled up to manage the heavy traffic and has expanded the account handling servers to the cloud so that the second round of pre-order service will be much more smoother than the previous.
