Popular Chinese smartphone maker, OnePlus has issued a formal apology to its esteemed fans for Monday's (27 October) pre-order fiasco.
Unprecedented traffic on the company's website reportedly caused the server to crash, leaving many buyers frustrated on not being able to complete the pre-order transaction.
"We have spent the past 24 hours identifying the weak points that led to this and we are mapping out a strategy to address them," said the company.
It also announced that the company would open the second OnePlus One pre-order window on 17 November (15:00 GMT; 11:00 am EDT; 20:30 pm IST) with a promise of better service.
Meanwhile, the company has announced the release of India-specific invites to prospective 'One' consumers online soon. OnePlus director (Global), Carl Pei confirmed the news on Saturday, saying that the company is also in talks with local e-commerce sites for distribution.
If things go as planned, OnePlus One, popularly known as flagship smartphone-killer will set foot in India by December-end.
For the uninitiated, invite-only procedure is carried out via contest/promotional events. Prospective consumers just have to sign up at company's official Facebook, Twitter and other social network platform. Once applied, few lucky consumers would get a pass (or an invite) and become eligible to book the device.
