Omar Borkan Al Gala, the 25-year-old handsome man who was allegedly send back to the United Arab Emirates from Saudi Arabia, has become an Internet sensation after his photos went viral on the internet.
After becoming a popular face on social networking site Facebook, the self proclaimed actor, poet and fashion photographer is set to make his film debut.
According to reports, Al Gala will feature in a short film "51" which is UAE's first major short film. The short film, which is in the financing stage of production, will be directed by John Steven Baltazar, Latinos Post reported.
Al Gaza will be cast alongside Iranian actor Navid Negahban, who shot to fame with TV series Homeland, Dubai based actress and producer Mylène Gomera, TV presenter and actress Dana Hamdan and Rik Aby.
The production's official Web site "51" at aflamnah.com claims that the short film will be a thriller, based on numbers.
"David Massomi literally runs into a beautiful, mysterious woman, Mylène, in the airport. Their encounter leads him on a journey where nothing is as it seems, is it all a frightening coincidence, or planned? Is Mylène friend or foe, and is David really who he seems to be?" the official website said.
"Mylène forces David to face the truth, the secret he knows from years past. It's a secret that only he has the answer to as it's part of him, and everyone wants to control it. Will revealing this secret be the key to the ultimate power, or destroy everything?"
The 25-year-old model had become an internet sensation after it was reported that he along with two other Emirates were deported from Saudi Arabia during a cultural festival because they were "too handsome".
The model, who has studied in Vancouver, Canada, is reportedly enjoying his newfound fame. His Facebook page has gone viral since 21 April and his followers are particularly in the age group 18-24.
Till 30 April he got more than 5,42,000 likes and in three days it has increased to 718,254 likes, with more than 739,404 talking about him.
