It's been only a few hours since Google officially began releasing Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA (Over-The-Air) to older Nexus devices, now a bug related to Wi-Fi connectivity has been reported by some early adopters.
Technology blog, PhoneArena while traversing through the Google's 'Android Developer Preview' site has come across a thread – "Issue 1548: Trouble connecting to some Wifi networks"- escalated by some nexus device users who are facing connectivity problem.
Some Nexus 5 (running Android 5.0 Lolliop OS) owners have claimed that they are having trouble tethering to Wi-Fi modems, despite entering the authorised password. The Nexus devices are said to show "Connecting", which becomes "Saved", but never connects.
Even Google's project member has acknowledged the issue under the label - 'defect-18035251' and has assured to escalate the issue to the developers' team.
"Thank you for reporting this issue. We have passed this on to the development team and will update this issue with more information as it becomes available," said the official Google Project member.
More than 58 people (and counting) have reported the issue. It has to be seen whether this Wi-Fi is localized to Nexus devices or any other brands as well.
Besides Nexus devices, second generation Moto X Pure edition and Moto G (Gen 2.) smartphones have also begun receiving Android 5.0 Lollipop in the USA.
As a precautionary measure, a week prior to the new OS update release, Motorola had initiated a soak test to take feedbacks from select Moto X and Moto G devices. Anybody who received the update were advised to log in to Motorola Help page and provide feedback on improvements as well as notify on any bugs, if found. [For more Information, click HERE]

It has to be noted that the above issue faced by Nexus device owners is different from the last week's Wi-Fi problem, which led to postponement of Android 5.0 Lollipop OTA (Over-The-Air) release. It was learnt that some of Nexus 5 tested with Android 5.0 Lollipop exhibited fast battery draining on activation of Wi-Fi feature. Later, the issue got fixed and was released to older Nexus devices on 12 November.
