Search engine giant Google has reportedly begun rolling out the new Android 5.1 Lollipop OTA (Over-The-Air) update to the 2013 flagship smartphone Nexus 5.
Last week, Google had released the factory image (manual downloadable file) out the new MR (Maintenance Release) 1 update Android 5.1 Lollipop to Nexus 5, now the update has been made available to devices wirelessly.
Technology blog Phone Arena confirmed the news that Nexus 5 is getting Android 5.1 update (build number: LMY47D) notification.
It is 220MB in size and is said to bring numerous bug-fixes including Wi-Fi connectivity issue, duplicate SMS sending glitch, 'Factory Reset Protection' (an anti-theft feature), enhancements to sending MMS messages, HD voice-calling and many other improvements.

How to install Android 5.1 Lollipop via OTA on Nexus 5:
If Google Nexus 5 owners are getting the update notification then, to select – install now, tap 'I'm in' option. The phone then begins to download the update. Later, select >> 'Install now.' The phone will restart automatically and the Android version status will be upgraded to the 5.1.
