In its bid to build curiosity around the soon-to-be released Yuphoria, YU Televentures Ltd (Micromax's subsidiary) has published teaser video giving fans a glimpse of a key feature of the new smartphone.
Rahul Sharma, company co-founder today kick started the count-down for Yuphoria launch (slated for 12 May) by posting a teaser video clip taken inside YU lab [Check out the video below].
In the clip, we see a couple of researchers sitting near a desk - one working and another taking a nap and later fellow colleague goes on to pull a prank by squeezing a lemon on his co-worker's face and simultaneously try to take the prank video using Yuphoria boasting shiny metal like frame around the edge. Then the startled researcher wakes up knocking the Yuphoria to the ground (around 4 feet above the floor).
Another co-worker runs to the other side of the desk to see if the Yuphoria got damaged or not. To his surprise, the YU phone not only survives, it breaks the tiles (ceramic), thus displaying the prowess of Yuphoria's durability.
Beside the metallic frame, we can see that the Yuphoria is bulky, thicker than the current YU smartphone Yureka.
It is also learnt that the new YU phone will feature LTE modem and run on the latest Cyanogen OS 12 (Android 5.0.2 Lollipop) backed by 64-bit class SoC (System on Chip), 2GB RAM and 16GB inbuilt memory. Other key features like camera and battery capacity are yet to be ascertained.
