Home grown smartphone maker, Micromax is all set to launch a new budget handset Unite A092 in India soon.
The new Unite A092 has been listed at the Micromax's official website, but details regarding the price and release date is yet to be announced by the company.
Micromax Unite A092 is a smaller variant of the recently launched Canvas Unite 2 (A106). Though it sports compact stature, it packs upgraded internal components compared to its bigger sibling. The new handset flaunts a 4.0-inch WVGA (800 x 480p) display and runs on Android v4.3 Jelly Bean OS powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor backed by 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB).
The Micromax phone also houses a 5.0-megapixel primary camera , 0.3-megapixel front camera for video chatting and a 1,500 mAh battery which can run the phone up to 5.5 hours of talk time and close to 140 hours under standby mode. And like its elder brother, it too support 21 Indian dialects.
It has to be noted that Micromax Unite A092 is the fourth budget smartphone to get launched in little over a two weeks. The company's newly launched phone includes Canvas Engage , Micromax Canvas Entice A105 and Unite 2. They are available in the market for ₹6,199 and other two for ₹6,999 respectively. The Indian company's smartphone launching spree is attributed to the threat posed by the ever growing popularity of the Moto E. Motorola phone has received over whelming response in the subcontinent. It raised the bar by incorporating value-added features like qHD screen with Gorilla Glass 3 display shield, water-splash resistant coating, and Snapdragon series chipsets and most importantly its pocket friendly sub ₹7,000 price tag is giving rival domestic players a run for their money.
