A sketch portraying the design features of the much anticipated new generation smartphone Canvas Turbo by Micromax has been leaked online.
Micromax community website, MMX Newscaster, has released the suspected blueprint of the upcoming Canvas Turbo. The document shows that the latest handset would sport a 5.0-inch (diagonally) full HD display and a 5.0-megapixel front-facing camera.
The sketch also revealed that the Canvas Turbo would feature power button and volume rockers on the right side of the device, whereas the two micro-SIM slots would come up on the left side. Unlike its predecessor, Canvas Turbo will have a micro-USB port on the top and a 3.5 mm audio jack at the bottom, while Canvas 4 features these ports at opposite ends.[To view the Canvas Turbo Blueprint, Click Here]
The latest revelation came just a day after indigenous smartphone maker Micromax announced Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman (X-Men series Wolverine fame) as their brand ambassador for the latest flagship gadget. Canvas Turbo is touted as the company's first ever full HD device.
Signing the internationally acclaimed actor, Micromax has hinted that its upcoming smartphone might be launched in the global market. The company has released a 11-second teaser video with Hugh Jackman.
Canvas Turbo is expected to boast a quad-core processor (MediaTek based chipset: MT6589T), 1GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory, 13.0-megapixel main camera and is also said to come with smart-gesture based features.
There is no official word regarding Canvas Turbo's release date or price details as such but the Indian market recently witnessed a spree of high-end smartphone launches by MNCs (Samsung, Sony, LG and Nokia) as a prelude to Diwali.
Hence one cannot rule out the possibility of Micromax hosting a surprise launch event for the latest handset soon.
