Micromax Canvas Selfie with 13mp Sony Dual-Cameras Goes on Sale in India; Price, Specifications

Home-bred smartphone maker Micromax has finally released the pro-camera handset Canvas Selfie in India.

Micromax Canvas Selfie was originally unveiled way back in December 2014, but due to some unknown reasons, it never made its way to store shelves, but finally now it has been reportedly made available both on online (Infibeam) stores and brick-and-mortar retail shops for ₹15,799.

As said before, Micromax phone's USP is its camera. Canvas Selfie boasts of houses a 13.0-megapixel selfie camera with LARGAN lens and Sony sensor with soft-flash support on the front.

To further enhance the photography experience, it comes pre-loaded with value-added apps (kinda set of beauty tools) - like Eye enhancement, face slimming, skin smoothening, teeth whitening, remove oil and fade dark circles and make-up.

On the rear-side too, it packs a 13mp camera with LARGAN lens and Sony sensor with dual-LED flash support, auto-focus and full HD(1080p) video recording ability.

Other stipulated features include 4.7-inch HD IPS screen, Android 4.4 KitKat OS, 1.7GHz MediaTek Tru Octa-core CPU, 2GB RAM,16GB memory and a 2,300mAh battery, which can run the phone close to 198 hours under standby mode.

Competition:

The new Micromax Canvas Selfie will be up against Alcatel OneTouch Selfie, Lava Iris Selfie 50, Asus Zenfone 5, Sony Xperia E3, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, Panasonic Eluga S, Motorola Moto G (both Gen 1 and Gen 2) and others.
