Indian smartphone manufacturer LAVA has launched a new smartphone in India. According to the manufacturer this new phone is headed towards the social community loving young crowd which loves clicking selfies and posting them instantly.
Concentrating on the camera, the Iris Selfie 50 features a 5-megapixel front facing camera with LED flash and auto-focus abilities. The Iris selfie also sports a 8 megapixel rear facing camera for regular clicking with Auto Focus BSI II sensor, Dual LED flash and HD recording capability.
The Iris Selfie 50 smartphone features two SIM slots out of which one accepts regular and the other one uses micro SIM only. The Android Kitkat 4.4.2 powered phone sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. It also integrates a 1.2GHz clocked Quad-Core CPU and comes coupled with 1 GB worth RAM memory.
With an in-built storage capability of 8GB, the Iris Selfie 50 provides the luxury to increase it via MicroSD card. The Android Kitkat-based smartphone also supports a wide array of connectivity features including 3G, GPRS/EDGE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, MicroUSB and Bluetooth (version not mentioned).
Powered by a 2400 mAh battery, Lava claims the Iris Selfie 50 will deliver a talk time of up to 10 hours including 200 hours of standby limit on 3G network. Measuring 144.5 x 71.2 x 9.2mm, the device is available in white at a quoted price of Rs. 5,499. However, the manufacturer hasn't said anything about its availability.
