Indigenous smartphone maker Micromax has released a new smartphone called Canvas Magnus A117 on Wednesday.
The new device sports a 5.0-inch IPS HD (720x1280p) display and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean OS out-of-the-box.
Under-the-hood, it packs a 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB ROM, 2000 mAh battery, 12.0-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity front, it houses Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G network support and GPS. The new Micromax phone is available at online store Snapdeal for ₹14,999.
Micromax has already announced that the next flagship model, Canvas Turbo A250, will be unveiled soon in the country. The device is said to be the company's first ever smartphone to boast a full HD display. Other specifications include quad-core processor, 13.0-megapixel main camera, 5.0-megapixel snapper on the front and smartcamera features (Drama Shot and more). The firm has also roped in Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman of "Wolverine" (X-Men series) fame as its brand ambassador.
