HTC One (E8) Ace with Plastic Shell Teased Online; Key Specifications Revealed

The long rumored HTC One (M8) plastic variant has made an appearance on the company's China website dubbed as HTC One (E8) Ace ahead of speculated launch next week.

Like reported earlier this week, the new phone ships with same specifications seen inside the original HTC One (M8) sans the camera specification and metal case, instead the device flaunts a polycarbonate based shell with HTC One (M7) design language on the rear-side.

The Chinese arm of the company in its bid to entice HTC fans, has given a sneak peek on the key specifications of HTC One (E8) Ace. It is said to pack a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 series quad-core processor, Adreno 330 graphics engine, a 13.0-megapixel primary camera on the rear-side and a 5.0-megapixel snapper on the front.

The phone will be available in four colors - Blue, White, Red and Black, but other key specifications like display, RAM, storage and battery capacity of the device is yet to be revealed.

If rumors are to be believed, HTC One (E8) is said to be a competitively priced to take on the Samsung's 2014 flagship model Galaxy S5. The company is expected to officially unveil new HTC One variant on 3 June initially in China and later to other regions.

In related news, HTC is also preparing ground work to challenge Samsung's Note series devices with 'HTC One Prime'. The upcoming phablet is said to boast exotic metal-alloy (Aluminum and Liquid Silicone) cover with 5.5-inch screen with WQHD (aka 2K) 2560 x 1440p resolution and inside it is expected come loaded with a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 series CPU, latest Android OS with Sense v6.5 UI, 3GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage and boast of category - 6 LTE modem, which can enable user to wirelessly transfer data with speed close to staggering 300 mbps.

Rumor has it that if all things fall in line, HTC One (M8) Prime is most likely to make its debut in September.
