After launching two HTC One variants (M8 and Mini), the Taiwanese company is reportedly prepping to unveil the plastic variant, dubbed as HTC One M8 Ace, next month.
Technolgy blog iFanr.com has got hold of the specifications of the alleged HTC One M8 Ace. As rumoured in past, the device is said to ship with almost identical specifications seen inside the original HTC One M8, sans the metal-cover and dual-camera features.
The upcoming HTC phone is expected to sport a 5.0-inch full HD super LCD 3 screen and run on Android's latest v4.4.2 KitKat OS with HTC's custom UI Sense v6.0. It also houses the Snapdragon 801 series quad-core processor, Adreno 330 graphics engine, 2GB RAM and a 2600 mAh battery.
Unlike the dual-camera seen on the original model, the plastic variant will pack a 13.0-megapixel primary camera and a 5.0-megapixel camera on the front side.
The website also claims that the Taiwanese company will launch the rumoured HTC One M8 Ace with 'Vogue Edition' tag on 3 June. The phone is expected to initially hit Chinese stores for ¥3000 (around ₹28,200), and later in other regions.
Though the specifications revealed by the site are in line with the past reports, we urge our readers to take this news with a pinch of salt as the company is yet to officially respond to the speculations.
Besides the cheap plastic model, HTC is also reportedly working on the premium flagship phablet model, dubbed HTC One (M8) Prime. It is said to flaunt a 5.5-inch screen with WQHD (aka 2K) 2560x1440p resolution, a new generation Qualcomm chipset- 2.5GHz Snapdragon 805 series CPU, latest Android OS with Sense v6.5 UI, 3GB RAM, 16GB inbuilt storage and boast a category - 6 LTE modem, which can enable users to transfer data wirelessly with a speed close to a staggering 300 mbps.
Word on the street is that the flagship HTC phablet is still under testing phase, and so the specifications might probably change before it goes in to the mass production stage. If all things fall in place, we may see the HTC One M8 Prime making its debut in September.
