Macher Dimer Bora Ingredients Fish Egg - 200 gm Onion - 1 finely chopped Green chillies - 2 chopped Chilli powder - 2 tsp Coriander powder - 2 tsp Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp Rice flour - 50 gm Maze flour - 50 gm A few Coriander leaves Salt to taste Oil for frying Method: 1. Mix all the ingredients and marinate for an hour. 2. Once the consistency is thick, make it into small balls and deep fry it until golden brown. Serve it hot with mint chutney. Sabudana Kheer Ingredients Milk - 1 liter Small size Sabudana or Sago - 1 cup Jaggery - 200 gm Water A few Roasted Cashew nuts A few Roasted Raisins A few Cardamom pods A few strands of Saffron Method: 1. Pour milk into a deep pot and let it boil. 2. Meanwhile, melt jaggery by adding a little water in another pot. 3. Cool the mixture and then add it slowly into to the milk. 4. The Sabudana or Sago is been soaking for 1 hour and add into the milk. 5. Pound the cardamom seeds & add it to the milk. Add roasted cashew nuts and raisins. Turn off the stove and transfer to a serving bowl. 6. Garnish it with a few strands of saffron. Heat oil in a pan, add urad dal and mustard seeds. 2. Once mustard seeds starts to splatter add green chilli, asafoetida powder and curry leaves. 3. Finally add cooked chana (while cooking the chana add little salt) to the tempered ingredients & mix it. 4. Add salt and fresh grated coconut other option you can add raw mango. 5. Squeeze half a lemon, turn off the stove and mix it, you can check the seasoning. And now your Navratri snack is ready! Oats Upma Ingredients Oats - 1 cup Onion - 1 chopped Lemon - 1 Green chilli - 1 chopped Chopped Ginger - 1 tsp Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp Salt to taste Water - 3 to 4 tsp For Tempering Oil - 4 tsp Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp Urad dal - 1/2 tsp Broken chana dal - 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp A few Curry leaves Method: 1. Heat 3 to 4 tsp of oil in a kadai. Add mustard seeds. Once they start crackling, add urad dal, channa dal, cumin seeds & curry leaves. 2. Once they start browning, add onions, green chilli and ginger. Once the onions turn transparent, add turmeric powder. 3. Then, mix the oats into it. Add salt as per taste and squeeze the juice of one lemon. Sprinkle a little water and cook it ensuring it doesn't burn. 4. Finally add chopped coriander leaves & mix it.
