Christians believe that man was an honest being when God had created him, but sin defiled his pure soul. God then sent his son to save the world. The day Jesus died is celebrated as Good Friday and on the third day of the Holy Week, Easter, he resurrected.
Good Friday 2015 will be observed on 3 April and the following Sunday will be celebrated as the Easter Sunday on 5 April.
But have you ever wondered why is the day, Good? Why is it called a Good Friday instead of bad or sad Friday? The suffering Jesus bore on the cross was sad and painful, but the fact that he did not stay dead is the reason why Christians see it as a Good Friday.
As it was the day that God's plan to redeem man was fulfilled and Christians believe that this is the day that God proved His love for us by taking our sins upon Him.
