Varun Dhawan starrer "Badlapur" has revealed the actor's first look in the intense drama.
After unveiling the first poster featuring Dhawan staring at a man across a dark railway platform, the second poster is out in quick succession.
Dhawan is seen in a completely different avatar in the new poster. The actor, who until now has been playing lover boy roles, is seen sporting a tough and fierce look.
Going by the poster, it appears Sriram Raghavan's "Badlapur" has some hardcore action sequences and Dhawan has managed to get into the skin of the character.
Apart from Dhawan, the action thriller also features Vinay Pathak, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Yami Gautam, Huma Qureshi and Radhika Apte in pivotal roles.
There were some reports that during the shooting of the last scene in a Mumbai Studio, Dhawan had accidently punched his co-star Pathak. Reportedly, the "Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania" actor was so engrossed in the scene that he ended up landing a powerful punch on the veteran actor, who immediately collapsed on the floor leaving the entire unit panicked.
Initially, there were also rumours that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was approached for the lead role. However, the former Miss World rejected it as she didn't want to be a part of an ensemble cast.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Sunil Lulla, "Badlapur" is slated to release worldwide on February 20, 2015.
The posters have already created waves among his fans on twitter, who have appreciated Dhawan's rough and tough look. Additionally, Bollywood celebrities too are raving about his new avatar.
