Alia Bhatt is one of the most sought after actresses these days after delivering hits after hits.
It has been earlier reported that Homi Adajania has roped in Bhatt opposite new bollywood hunk Sushant Singh Rajput to play the lead in his next, which will be produced by Illuminati Films.
Recently, the "Finding Fanny" director was also in news for having signed Deepika Padukone and Varun Dhawan for remake of superhit Hollywood film, "The Fault in Our Stars".
However, according to a report in Mid-day, the director has decided to push the shooting of the Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, as he wants to start off with his untitled film starring Bhatt and Rajput. The director is currently working on the pre production details of the film and will soon start shooting it.
Bhatt and Rajput will be sharing screen space for the first time, which would definitely be a treat for their fans. The film is reportedly set into two different eras and the fresh onscreen pair will be seen romancing in both time periods.
"Since Sushant and Alia have never worked together, the pairing will be fresh. But makers have cast them together mainly because they fit their parts perfectly. Homi was looking for an unusual pair that could also deliver strong performances. And after mulling over it for some time, he and Dinesh (Vijan; producer) zeroed in on the two actors," a source told the Hindustan Times.
Meanwhile, the "Highway" actress has also bagged Ayan Mukherji's untitled film alongside Ranbir Kapoor and the adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's book "Half Girlfriend".
On the other hand, Rajput who featured in Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer "PK", will next be seen in "Detective Byomkesh Bakshy". He is also shooting for the biopic on Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Shekhar Kapur's "Paani".
