Two women have been arrested after a video was posted to Facebook showing the women blowing marijuana smoke in a toddlers face. One woman appears to be trying to blow the smoke in the childs mouth. Angry people on social media called the police on the women in Fort Hall. Aug 25, 2016

Atlanta petrol station shootout caught on CCTV

A CCTV camera at a petrol station in Atlanta, USA, captured a shootout on 21 August. The footage shows one man collect his weapon from the front of the car and threaten the second, who then gets up and fires a pistol. After exchanging shots, a woman in passenger seat of the car gets out clutching her shoulder. Atlanta Police said that the woman was injured but no one else was hurt. Aug 24, 2016

British woman stabbed to death in Australia by man allegedly shouting Allahu Akbar

A 29-year-old French man has been arrested after allegedly stabbing a 21-year-old woman to death at a backpacker hostel in Queensland, Australia. A 30-year-old British man has also been left in a critical condition in the attack, which took place in front of around 30 people. According to reports the French man had been in Australia on a temporary visa since March 2016 and links to extremist groups had not yet been found. Aug 24, 2016

Syrian girls song interrupted by barrel bomb in Aleppo

The video reportedly shows a Syrian girl from Aleppo singing to her mother about how she loves her parents and her family, right before a barrel bomb can be heard exploding. Suspected al-Qaeda Mali rebel first to face war crime charges for damaging cultural heritage

Ahmad al-Faqi al-Mahd is accused of destroying historical monuments in the northern Mali city of Timbuktu. He stands trial, the first of its kind, at the International Criminal Court at The Hauge, Netherlands. Ansar al-Dine, Malis al-Qaeda affiliate, destroyed 14 of 16 historic mausoleums in Timbuktu in 2012. It is expected that al-Mahd will plead guilty to the charges. Aug 22, 2016
