[Update: "Kochadaiiyaan" Audio Release in December; Film to Hit Screens in January 2014]
The music launch of Rajinikanth's much-awaited film "Kochadaiiyaan" is expected to take place by the end of November.
Sources close to the film's crew confirmed to Indiaglitz that the audio launch of the film will happen by that time. However, an official confirmation on the exact launch date is still awaited.
The film's music is composed by Oscar winner AR Rahman. A single number from the album, sung by legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam, was released in October. The song titled "Engae Pogudho Vaanam" won appreciation from fans worldwide.
Directed by Rajinikanth's youngest daughter Soundarya, "Kochadaiiyaan" is an epic drama with the superstar reportedly playing triple roles. The film also has Deepika Padukone, Aadhi, Sarath Kumar, Nassar and Shobana in pivotal roles.
The Rajini starrer is claimed to be India's first 3D using motion capturing technology. The film's teaser has generated a lot of buzz, thanks to Rajinikanth's star power. Like his other releases, "Kochadaiiyaan" is one of the most-awaited Tamil films.
Fans are eagerly waiting to see their "Thalaivar" (Rajini is fondly referred by this name) on screen after a three-year hiatus. Earlier, reports had suggested that "Kochadaiiyaan" will release on Rajinikanth's birthday i.e. 12 December. But the latest buzz doing the rounds in the Tamil film industry is that the epic drama might not hit the screens on the slated date.
Some reports suggest that "Kochadaiiyaan" release will further get delayed to 2014. Buzz is that the film might get released during Pongal. But there is no official confirmation on this.
If the reports turn out true, then "Kochadaiiyaan" might clash with other biggies including Ajith's "Veeram", Vijay's "Jilla" and Kamal Haasan's "Vishwaroopam".
