"Arrambam" was earlier expected to make it to theatres during Diwali. However, an official confirmation on the exact release date was not made. On Saturday (19 October), "Arrambam" makers made a press statement confirming the film's release date as 31 October. The Ajith-starrer will have a four-day long weekend during Diwali festival and is expected to get a massive opening upon its release.
Directed by Vishnu Vardhan, "Arrambam" is touted to be an action-thriller flick with Ajith in the lead. This is the second time that the director has teamed up with Ajith after the stupendous success of 2007-release "Billa."
Vishnu Vardhan reveals that "Arrambam" will be technically stronger than his previous films. "Technology is not about using sophisticated gadgets. In this digital era, you can do magic with what you have. If you think Billa was technically strong, Arrambam will make Billa look outdated. We have used some extraordinary talents from Hollywood, to make the action sequences in particular, stunning," Vishnu was quoted as saying by Behindwoods.
"Arrambam" has received a clean "U" certificate from the censor board and the Ajith starrer is entitled to tax exemption. Officials have reportedly claimed that "Arrambam" is the actor's best film till date.
The makers of the film, Sri Sathy Sai Movies, arranged a special screening for Ajith and his family members. The actor is said to have liked the outcome of the film and even praised director Vishnu Vardhan. He also reportedly called up Arya (his co-star in "Arrambam") and commended him for his wonderful performance.
With "Arrambam" release confirmed for 31 October, fans will be eagerly waiting to see their "Thala" (leader) back on screen. While the trailer and songs have already generated a positive pre-release buzz, it remains to be seen if Ajith-Vishnu Vardhan will be able to recreate the "Billa" magic once again.
