In the countdown to the Diwali season, three Tamil films - "Arrambam", "All in All Azhaguraja (AAA) and "Pandianadu" - have been confirmed for release during the festive period.
Interestingly, none of the these films will hit the screens on the same day. Instead, they are releasing one after the other in a sequential order.
The first biggie to make it to theatres will be Ajith's "Arrambam". The film will be screened from 31 October (Thursday) in a bid to cash in on the four-day long weekend. Next in line is Vishal's "Pandiya Nadu", which will release on 1 November. Karthi's "AAA" will be out on 2 November (Saturday).
Normally, when a big star's film releases, other actors prefer to delay their projects. But it seems that Karthi and Vishal are ready to face competition from Ajith's "Arrambam". All three films are backed by popular production houses.
According to reports, early estimates suggest that "Arrambam" will have more than 375 screens, while "AAA" will get over 300 screens. Vishal's film will have 150 plus screens. Ajith and Karthi's films have received a clean "U" certificate from the censor board. Vishal's "Pandiya Nadu" will be censored on Monday (21 October). It remains to be seen if the action-drama flick gets a "U" rating similar to other Diwali releases.
With three films lined up to hit the screens, it will be a real Diwali Dhamaka for the fans. While "Arrambam" and "Pandiya Nadu" belong to action genre, "AAA" is a full-fledged family entertainer. One has to wait a little longer to find out which of these films will emerge as a winner.
