Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a doting mother to Aaradhya is known to prioritise her family over work commitments.

And ahead of Aaradhya's 3rd birthday on 16 November, both Aishwarya and daughter took some time out to fly to her maternal home in Mangalore along with parents Vrinda Rai and Krishnaraj Rai.

The entire Rai family visited the beautiful city to attend a family function. According to a report in the Deccan Chronicle, the former Miss World was there for a baby shower ceremony of her father's grand niece.

A picture from the function has been shared on Twitter, where the actress is seen smiling happily along with her extended family.

Dressed in red, the beauty queen looked absolutely gorgeous while the adorable Aaradhya is seen in a pink frock in the picture.

With such family bonding, the Bachchan bahu will surely make her daughter Aaradhya learn the importance of family.

On the work front, Aishwarya, who has been away from the silver screen post the birth of her daughter, is on a comeback trail with Sanjay Gupta's "Jazbaa". The film also featuring Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles, is expected to go on floors next month.

Further, there were also reports that the actress has teamed up with director Rohit Shetty and superstar Shah Rukh Khan in their upcoming film. Both Shah Rukh and Aishwarya will reunite after 12 years in Shetty's film. They last worked together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's "Devdas".

Recently, some reports suggested that the actress has been approached for Karan Johar's next venture, which will apparently have Aamir Khan in the lead role. However, no confirmation has been made by the actress as of now.
