Telugu movie "Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu", which was released on Friday, is giving tough competition to Hindi films at the overseas box office.
The film, which stars Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Anjali and Samantha in lead roles, premiered across 89 screens in the US on Jan 10. The family drama received positive responses from critics and audiences upon its release.
Within two days of its release "SVSC" has earned approximately ₹5 crore. The film also earned tremendous pre-release attention and raked in approximately ₹1.13 crore from 62 locations.

"SVSC", written and directed by Srikanth Addala, is said to be the first multi-starrer film in the Telugu industry.
Released ahead of Makar Sankranti or Pongal holiday, the film is expected to take the Telugu box office by storm. Mahesh Babu has a huge fan following in the US. His previous release "Business Man" has made some record-breaking collections.
The film also features Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Rohini Hattangadi, Rao Ramesh, Abhinaya, Brahmanandam, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Tanikella Bharani in supporting roles.
