Indian technology company Zync has recently rolled out a 2G based voice-calling tablet, dubbed Zync Z99 2G, to the Indian tablet market.
" Zync is on an aggressive expansion to capture a majority part of the market in smaller cities we feel this tablet will create waves in the market which is definitely a value for money product. A 2G tablet fulfills the main purpose of making calls, checking e-mails on the go and surf the internet and that is what users look for while making a purchase," said Amul Mohan Mittal, co- founder, Zync Global during the launch of the device, reported SiliconIndia.
Zync Z99 2G is an entry level 7-inch tablet priced at Rs 6,990. The device can also support 3G GSM networks using a dongle connected with a micro USB converter.

Zync had successfully launched its maiden products Zync Pad Z900 and Zync Pad Z909 in October last year.
The company's other successful tablet is Zync Pad Z990. The company claimed that Z990 was India's first Ice Cream Sandwich OS based tablet, released in February this year.
The new Zync Z99 2G tablet is now available on the company's website for Rs 6,990.
