Technology firm Zync Global Private Ltd has released an affordable Android smartphone called Cloud Z401 in India.
"After seeing the success of the low-cost tablets, we have decided to extend our footprint in the low cost smartphone category as well. This category has great untapped potential and just like our tablets, we plan to offer maximum features at a very affordable price to appeal to our value conscious Indian consumers," said Zync Global co-founder Amul Mohan Mittal, reported NDTV.
The Zync Cloud Z401 smartphone sports a 4.0-inch IPS WVGA (480x800p) display and runs on Android v2.3 Gingerbread OS powered by a single-core 1GHz processor with 256MB DDR3 RAM, 512MB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB) and a 1300 Li-ion battery.
The phone also houses a 2.0-megapixel camera on the rear side and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) snapper on the front. The main camera has LED flash, auto-focus, 8X digital zoom and video recording options.
Zync Cloud Z401 is available for purchase at the company's official website and e-retailer Infibeam for ₹4,499.
