ZTE's 5-inch full-HD Grand S made yet another appearance online, two weeks ahead of its launch at CES 2013 in Las Vegas.
The Chinese manufacturer has been teasing its upcoming smartphone on the popular Chinese social network forum Sina Weboi by releasing sketches. Engadget has now released a photo of ZTE's Grand S smartphone which they apparently managed to get from an anonymous tipster. Although speculations about the upcoming smartphone from ZTE are rife, as of now tech watchers do not have many details about this smartphone.
"Earlier today a kind anonymous tipster shared the above product shot of a ZTE Z753, which is allegedly the Chinese manufacturer's contribution to the ever-growing list of five-inch 1080p devices," said Engadget.
However, the official website of CES 2013 which confirmed the debut of ZTE smartphone referred to it as the world's thinnest 5-inch FHD smartphone.
"ZTE's first FHD smartphone is also the world's thinnest for 5-inch FHD smartphones. Made of ceramic and featuring traditional Chinese style, the Grand S is the perfect phone for the fashionable set," as quoted by Tech Radar.
So far, HTC's J Butterfly is the only smartphone in the market which features a full-HD display. This device has gone to retail shelves of different countries under different names like HTC J Butterfly, HTC Droid DNA and HTC Butterfly. The upcoming smartphone from ZTE is expected to pit against HTC. According to reports, Samsung's and LG's Full HD smartphones are also in the pipeline for 2013 release.
