Chinese telecommunication technology giant ZTE launched a new budget smartphone V5 in India on Tuesday, 2 September.
The new ZTE V5 sports a 5.0-inch Sharp HD (1,280x720p) screen with Dragontrail shield and ships with Android v4.4 KitKat (with custom Nubia v2.0 UI) out-of-the-box.
Under the hood, it comes packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 series quad-core CPU, 1GB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB) and a 2,400 mAh battery, which can run the phone for up to 400 minutes of talk time and close to 300 hours under standby mode.
On photography aspect, it boasts of 13.0-megapixel camera (with Sony's proprietary Exmor RS CMOS sensor) on the rear side and a 5.0-megapixel snapper on the front for video-chatting.
Competition:
Though the ZTE V5 boasts of feature-rich specifications, it will have tough time competing with recently launched Xiaomi devices – Redmi 1S and Mi3. Other rivals include Lava Iris X5, Karbonn Titanium S19, Moto G, Lenovo S660 and many others.
As of now, ZTE V5 has been made exclusively available at Snapdeal for ₹10,999. As a part of promotional offer, the online store is giving incentive to prospective consumers in terms of free internet 3G/2G data pack (via Aircel network carrier).
