Chinese telecommunication equipment manufacturer ZTE has unveiled a high-end smartphone, Nubia Z5, which runs on the latest Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) OS.
According to Unwired View, ZTE says that the company intends to sell the Z5 smartphone for a retail price of 3,456 Yuan (about $555) in China, starting January 2013. ZTE has not mentioned the release dates of Z5 in the other markets around the world.
ZTE's Nubia Z5 smartphone sports a 13.0-megapixel primary camera with LED display and 2.0-megapixel front-facing camera.

ZTE says that the Nubia Z5 will be available in two primary colours, White and Black. There is also speculation that ZTE is planning to release Nubia Z5 with an expensive Titanium case for a whopping 7,890 Yuan (around $1,265).
ZTE Corporation is steadily increasing its hold in the smartphone market in the U.S. as well as globally. According to the market research firm IDC (International Data Corporation), ZTE sold more than 7.3 million smartphone devices and is currently placed fourth with 4.2 percent global smartphone market share lead by Samsung and Apple in the third quarter of 2012.
