Chinese smartphone maker ZTE on Monday (25 February) announced the arrival of its new 5.7-inch Grand Memo smartphone at the Mobile world Congress in Spain.
Soon after the announcement, chipmaker Qualcomm contended that the new Grand Memo smartphone does not feature the snapdragon 800 processor as claimed by ZTE.
Seeking clarification on the claims, technology website Engadget in conversation with ZTE officials revealed that the Chinese company will actually release two variants of Grand Memo with different processor chips, thus ending the confusion over the Grand Memo's processor chip.
ZTE said that the Grand Memo with Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset will be initially released in China, and the other 4G/LTE-model with Snapdragon 800 processor will hit European markets later.
